TIBCO has announced the availability of TIBCO Jaspersoft for Docker, a fully-customizable containerization solution for TIBCO Jaspersoft using the Docker Compose tool. Jaspersoft for Docker packages and distributes a Dockerfile designed to build a Docker image and a Docker Compose script to architect multi-container Docker applications. It is a fully functional open-source implementation. The scripts for building the Docker containers are open for modification so that architects can fit Jaspersoft into their unique software stack in the way that fits best versus what is prescribed by a vendor.
The offering allows users to deploy Jaspersoft along with their stacks to achieve DevOps flexibility and control while also enabling portability across platforms and release systems. Enabling independent software vendors and Software as a Service companies to build and deploy high-powered applications, Jaspersoft for Docker provides users with agility for architecting solutions using containers and the ability to create a repeatable process for enhanced control. The tool also gives developers the means by which to generate reports and dashboards on production environment replicas, which can greatly reduce development time and errors.
TIBCO’s offerings on the Docker platform are well suited for DevOps teams, software architects, and developers.
