MCSA: Universal Windows Platform

This certification demonstrates expertise at implementing Universal Windows Platform applications across a range of Windows devices. Developers must pass two exams. The first is intended for those with one or more years of experience building business and application logic for a variety of application, hardware, and software types, using C#. The second exam is intended for developers with experience designing and developing Windows 10 apps for the Windows Store or Windows Store for Business. Subject areas include C#, XAML, WPF/Silverlight for Windows Phone, authentication technologies, and more. Visual Studio 2015 experience is also recommended.

MCSA: Web Applications

This certification demonstrates expertise at implementing modern web applications. Developers must pass three exams. The first is intended for those with one or more experience building business and application logic for a variety of application, hardware, and software types in HTML5 using JavaScript and CSS3. Developers should also have one to two years of experience using HTML in an object-oriented, event-driven programming environment. The second exam is intended for those with one or more years of experience with C#. The third exam is intended for developers with 3-5 years of experience developing ASP.NET MVC web applications.

MCSD: App Builder

This certification demonstrates expertise in the skills needed to build modern mobile and/or web applications. Developers must pass three exams. The first exam is intended for developers with experience designing and developing Windows 10 apps for the Windows Store or Windows Store for Business. Subject areas include C#, XAML, WPF/Silverlight for Windows Phone, authentication technologies, and more. Visual Studio 2015 experience is also recommended. The second exam is intended for professional developers familiar with Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 and three to five years of experience with ASP.NET. The third exam is intended for developers with three to five years of experience and familiar with Web API and Azure solutions.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate

Microsoft Azure Developers design, build, test, and maintain cloud solutions. This includes applications and services, partnering with cloud solution architects, cloud DBAs, cloud administrators, and clients. The exam covers a wide breadth of subject matter, including creating PaaS solutions, secure cloud solutions, developing for an Azure cloud model, implementing cloud integration solutions, and more. The exam itself costs $165 USD. It is recommended that Developers start with an optional prerequisite certification that covers Azure Fundamentals and other basic concepts.

These developer certifications are useful for application leaders in finding the best employees or giving their staff the best training.
