Spanning Acquired by Kaseya to Improve BUDR for SaaS ApplicationsProvider of IT infrastructure management solutions for internal IT organizations and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Kaseya, recently announced its acquisition of Spanning Cloud Apps. Founded in 2010, Software as a Service (SaaS) data protection solution provider, Spanning Cloud Apps has over 10,000 active enterprise and MSP users around the world. Additionally, in 2017, the vendor’s solutions were used to backup over 110 billion items. Spanning’s headquarters will remain in Austin, Texas, operating under Kaseya as an independent business.

Through this acquisition, Kaseya offers Kaseya Office 365 backup: a new, integrated solution powered by Spanning. The platform enables Kaseya users to provide a complete backup and disaster recovery solution built for Microsoft Office 365. This tool also allows MSPs to develop supplemental revenue streams concerning their users’ need to backup and secure their Office 365 environments.

As a part of the Kaseya Unified Backup Suite, Kaseya Office 365 integrates completely with the Kaseya IT Complete platform. Additionally, the tool is available as an integrated module within the company’s remote monitoring and management solution, VSA by Kaseya. The platform offers users a unified solution built from the ground up in order to enable users to actualize their Office 365 backup needs.
