StorageCraft Announces Enhancements to DRaaS Offerings

StorageCraft Announces Enhancements to DRaaS OfferingsData protection and scale-out storage provider, StorageCraft, recently announced improvements to its Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) Cloud Services for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The services for StorageCraft DraaS for MSPs now include one-click orchestrated recovery, cloud pooling, and 30-day free virtualized infrastructure replication. These capabilities provide MSPs with more revenue opportunities and an increase in market potential.

Senior director of product management at StorageCraft, Hugo Parra stated, “StorageCraft Cloud Services has been hugely successful since becoming available in 2014. The number of servers protected by StorageCraft Cloud Services increased by almost 300% year over year in 2017. Our MSP community is reaping the benefits of purpose-built business continuity cloud services. They are able to offer a superior alternative to public cloud terms of self-serve failover orchestration, all-inclusive virtualization and recovery costs, and clear, predictable SLAs. This high-value low-touch model boosts partners’ margins, addressable market, and ability to meet customers’ most stringent requirements while keeping maintenance and operation costs to a minimum.”

With the new enhancements to StorageCraft Cloud Services, MSPs can pool each of their machine’s data capacity at any service level. This offers MSPs increased flexibility and efficiency. Additionally, MSPs are able to plan and load-balance their complete data capacity. Cloud pooling also allows MSPs’ service offerings to appeal to a larger market.

StorageCraft Cloud Services also enables MSPs to pre-configure each user’s recovery sequence in order to bring entire systems back online with one click in the event of a disaster or failure. This feature can assist in working around ransomware attacks by rebooting to the last point of recovery from the cloud. This allows business operations to continue uninterrupted, without losing user data.

Clay Harris, president and COO of WorkSmart, a StorageCraft MSP, discussed the improvements, saying, “the business opportunity from offering Cloud Services is immense. It is one of the fastest-growing segments in our industry, with Disaster Recovery as a Service set to grow from $2.4B into $3.73B by 2021. Choosing the right vendor is critical to make the most of this potential. We partnered with StorageCraft because its Cloud Services give us the means to differentiate in the market, offer more to our existing customers and attract new customers. As well as the increased revenue opportunities, the ease and low-maintenance of StorageCraft’s Cloud Services allows us to improve margins through reduced operational cost and overhead.”
