<\/b> \"\"TierPoint LLC<\/a> has plans to expand its New York Data Center, which will make a large impact on its capacity to work with clients in New York and throughout the entire Northeast region.<\/div>\n

The organization is building out its Hawthorne campus as part of the third major expansion since the facility’s doors opened, according to a release. The Hawthorne campus currently boasts a recovery and business continuity center with over 70,000 square feet. It also features a data center with 52,000 square feet of raised floor.<\/p>\n

Throughout the expansion, TierPoint plans to add over 38,000 square feet of raised floor and more than a third of that is expected to be added in the first phase that will set the company back $13-million. According to the company, they plan to have that phase ready for customers this November.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis expansion will further enhance our ability to meet growing demand, especially for customers in the financial industry who count on ultra-low latency network connectivity to midtown and lower Manhattan,\u201d TierPoint Regional Vice President John Vernazza said. \u201cBecause of its location outside New York City\u2019s 12-mile blast zone and the 500-year flood zone, the Hawthorne facility is well-positioned to deliver disaster recovery solutions, including business continuity workspace.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of TierPoint’s clients, Hudson River HealthCare (HRHCare), chose the Hawthorne facility for various reasons. According to HRHCare Vice President of IT Eric Brosius, two of those reasons were: location of the facility along with the provider’s ability to help support HRHCare’s\u00a0colocation and managed- service needs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWith their extensive capabilities, multiple fiber-connected sites, and flexible solutions, TierPoint was the perfect fit,\u201d Brosius told TierPoint. \u201cI\u2019m confident TierPoint will continue to be a valuable partner as our business expands and our IT needs evolve.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hawthorne facility reportedly meets compliance standards for HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GLBA and SOC 2 Type II. And TierPoint holds EU-US Privacy Shield certification and ITAR registration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
