There\u2019s a wide array of vendors in this space who offer various features and capabilities within their platforms.<\/p>\n Disaster recovery site<\/strong>: A place where an organization can move to after an incident.<\/p>\n Failover<\/strong>: In the event of an incident, organizations are able to switch from a production to recovery site and that is referred to as failover.<\/p>\n High Availability<\/strong>: This term is used when an environment has a high amount of uptime.<\/p>\n Mirroring<\/strong>: The process of copying data from one site to another.<\/p>\n RPO\/RTO<\/strong>: Recovery Point Objective or Recovery Time Objective refers to the targeted amount of time in which a business process must be restored after an incident to prevent permanent data loss.<\/p>\n
