\"CommvaultEnterprise backup, recovery, archive, cloud, and data management provider, Commvault<\/a> recently announced<\/a> its partnership with IBM.<\/a> Through this relationship, IBM Business Resiliency Services<\/a> will offer a managed service based off of Commvault\u2019s software portfolio of data management and protection software, which includes the Commvault Data platform. With the collaboration between IBM and Commvault, IBM Business Resiliency Services can provide users with a single powerful platform for backing up, recovering, managing, migrating, and indexing all of their data, regardless of if it\u2019s located in the cloud or on-prem.<\/span><\/p>\n

Users will have the ability to deploy Commvault software on-prem, in IBM cloud environments, and on infrastructure handled in IBM data centers when using IBM Business Resiliency Services. IBM will offer its software as both a managed service or a solution. Commvault\u2019s software will also allow IBM healthcare users to manage critical data and medical images over their healthcare enterprise.<\/span><\/p>\n

Daniel Witteveen, Vice President, Global Portfolio, IBM Business Resiliency Services stated, \u201cthe enterprise finds itself in an era where clients are seeking more simplicity and agility in their data backup and recovery solutions to help enable their digital transformation. Seamless integration of IBM and Commvault solutions for on-site or offsite data backup will help deliver a more simplified business continuity model and help reduce operational risks and costs for customers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, IBM Business Resiliency Services users can buy Commvault-powered services through IBM, giving them new ways to streamline IT efforts, maintain business continuity, and reduce cybersecurity and regulatory compliance risk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of the collaboration, Owen Tarniuk, Head of Worldwide Partnerships and Market Development at Commvault said, \u201cthe combination of Commvault\u2019s industry-leading data management and protection platform with IBM Business Resiliency Services\u2019 vast business continuity expertise will enable IBM customers to more easily manage, protect and archive their enterprise data wherever it is located. By being able to offer customers Commvault products, IBM Business Resiliency Services experts can better ensure their customer\u2019s cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, cloud adoption, and other digital transformation initiatives do not result in any disruption to their operations. This new partnership provides IBM Business Resiliency Services experts with the data management platform they need to solve the many IT resilience challenges their customers face as they move to new hybrid cloud environments.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
