New features include multi-user support for Presto and Ahana, fine-grained access control for data lakes with deep Apache Ranger integration, and audit support for all access. These are in addition to the recently announced one-click integration with AWS Lake Formation. With the latest security add-ons, Ahana is bringing an even meatier offering to the Open Data Lake Analytics stack with Presto at its core.
thatDot Unveils New Streaming Graph Engine Called Quine
Streaming and event processing startup thatDot announced a new MIT-licensed open-source project for data engineers that combines event streaming with graph data to create what the company calls a “streaming graph.” Based on years of research that was supported by DARPA, the idea behind Quine is to take high-volume data streams and build them into stateful graphs.
Constellation Research Releases Constellation ShortList for MLOps
Strategic advisory and analyst firm Constellation Research recently released findings from its Constellation ShortList for MLOps.
