Dundas Data Viz Secures New Patent for KPI Discussion Threads

Dundas Data Visualization has been awarded a new patent for technology that allows users to add a discussion thread to key performance indicator (KPI) visualizations displayed on a dashboard. The patent covers methods and systems for new dashboard interactivity that includes making and reviewing comments such as asking questions about the performance results and getting answers from other users.

Dundas BI is a business intelligence, analytics and dashboard platform that helps organizations turn their data into enterprise-wide, interactive visualizations for faster insights and better decision making. Dundas BI gives users control over their experience and is easy to customize to the preferences and unique needs of different kinds of users. Dundas BI is designed on an open API, making it adaptable to fit the needs of a wide variety of use cases.

Dundas data visualizations can be viewed on any device. The discussion threads can be added by any user to KPI information on the dashboard, and they can track both sent and received comments. Dundas also provides capabilities to include a security module to authenticate and verify the comment against an authentication level of the user viewing the dashboard. Comments can trigger notification to users that are charge of monitoring the KPIs.
