insightsoftware Acquires Embedded Analytics Leader Logi Analytics

insightsoftware announced today that it has acquired Logi Analytics, according to a press release on the company’s website. The merger, according to insightsoftware, will position the firm “as a leader in integrating financial and operational reporting and expands the company’s market opportunity through embedded analytics for commercial software organizations and corporate application teams.” No terms of the acquisition were disclosed. The news comes on the heels of Logi’s Composer embedded BI development platform release from last June.

Logi Analytics offers a development platform that allows teams to build, deploy, and maintain the analytics in their applications. With the Logi Platform, analytics content and capabilities are embedded and integrated within an existing application or portal. Application teams maintain control to customize the user experience and meet unique requirements. As part of the Logi Platform, Logi Services introduces REST APIs, allowing developers to programmatically interact with data sources, visualizations, and dashboards.

With Logi Analytics, insightsoftware will embed customized analytics into its commercial and enterprise applications featuring customer-branded user interfaces, reports, dashboards, and KPIs. The firm will also leverage Logi technologies for new operational analytics and reporting solutions to enable real-time intelligence for finance teams.
