Sisense is launching a new round of updates to its flagship BI and data analytics product, according to a press release on the company’s website. The Q3 2019 release is highlighted by new AI-driven augmented analytics, a cloud-native architecture, DevOps tools, and more than 40 certified data connectors. This announcement comes on the heels of Sisense’s June cloud-native Linux architecture launch.

Sisense’s new cloud-native architecture will be offered alongside the existing Windows-based option. Multi-cloud support is enabled by a containerized microservices architecture that utilizes best-of-breed open-source technologies including Linux, Kubernetes and Docker Orchestration. Cloud-native Sisense also provides the first post-merger integrations with Periscope Data.

AI Exploration is the new augmented analytics feature included in the release. The capability automatically generates visualizations and deeper insights from known KPIs. It does this through the use of machine learning to explore underlying data and user behavior. AI Exploration guides end-users toward answers they didn’t know they had while dashboard builders can reveal the most important data insights.

In a press statement, new Sisense CMO Harry Glaser spoke to the update: “Today’s release empowers business users to explore and answer questions they didn’t even know they had, while also enhancing the experience for data engineers and developers who need to more rapidly build, embed and deploy analytic apps.”

The Sisense Q3 2019 release also includes expanded APIs to help users build an embed analytic apps for enterprise-grade deployments. There are a number of other new features as well, and you can read about them here. The new version of Sisense is available now for current customers.
