ThoughtSpot’s analytics platform is heavily influenced by artificial intelligence and automation. While it may seem complex, ease of use is actually a strength of the product. It features a full-stack architecture and intuitive insight generation capabilities via the in-memory calculation engine. A distributed cluster manager provides customizable scaling options, and support for existing ETL solutions ensures proper connectivity to desired data sources.

ThoughtSpot 5 is now certified on the Google Cloud Platform in addition to Amazon Web Services and Azure. A newly included Universal Search feature enables more complex schema and queries, and recommends additional, related content to users so they can drill deeper down. Version 5 even pushes relevant insights to users automatically, without them having to ask.

In a statement to Solutions Review, the company’s co-founder and executive chairman Ajeet Singh said: “Our mission has always been to make data accessible to business people at all levels, not just the chosen few. SearchIQ is an entirely new approach to search predicated on the use of AI and machine learning to enable users to converse with their data. Its use of deep AI to parse sentences and interpret intent introduces an entirely new means for users to collect insights via voice without sacrificing analytics.”

Last year ThoughtSpot unveiled SpotIQ, an analytics engine that works hand-in-hand with relational search to curate data analysis by asking questions about large data volumes. Solutions Review recently named the company to our list of the 20 best data analytics software tools for 2019.
