ThoughtSpot today announced ThoughtSpot 6, the latest version of the company’s flagship data analytics platform. The release is highlighted by a suite of new features that enable users to better access data, as well as a new iOS application called ThoughtSpot Mobile. ThoughtSpot’s analytics platform is heavily influenced by artificial intelligence and automation. While it may seem complex, ease of use is actually a strength of the product. It features a full-stack architecture and intuitive insight generation capabilities via the in-memory calculation engine. A distributed cluster manager provides customizable scaling options, and support for existing ETL solutions ensures proper connectivity to desired data sources.

Version 6 includes a new feature called Answer Explorer that helps users find the right questions to ask by serving up suggestions based on terms frequently used with similar data sets. This allows users to accept suggestions to filter, add or compare metrics, or break down by dimensions. There’s also a ThoughtSpot Monitor capability (in beta) that enables users to tell the tool to monitor a specific dataset, chart or set of KPIs. ThoughtSpot’s AI engine SpotIQ then continuously analyzes the underlying data and alerts users about changing patterns and trends.

Other new additions to the platform include ThoughtSpot Embrace, a service that enables customers to run search and AI analytics directly in existing databases, as well as support for Google Cloud Storage. Users are also given enhanced capabilities to edit visuals to make charts via new configurations. A new migration feature lets users download worksheets and upload them to a new environment as well.

ThoughtSpot’s Beyond 19 runs through October 17th. Follow along here.
