\"Kentik\"<\/p>\n

Network traffic intelligence startup Kentik announced this morning<\/a> that they’ve secured $23 million in Series B funding<\/a> led by Third Point Ventures with participation by existing investors. Kentik is unique in that offers a purpose-built Big Data engine that turns large volumes of network data into digestible insights for enterprise organizations. According to the company, “Teams equipped with Kentik\u2019s unconstrained traffic and performance analysis achieve operational excellence and unleash innovation.” The new investment will enable Kentik to meet demand for its Big Data network traffic analytics and performance visibility tools, and the company plans to use the money to increase headcount and accelerate product capabilities in the years ahead.<\/p>\n

Kentik’s\u00a0platform ingests data at internet scale, which can be up to hundreds of billions of records per day, in real-time, and allows users to run multi-dimensional queries and receive visualizations in seconds.\u00a0This allows Kentik to support key network visibility use cases at greater scale and detail than previously possible.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2014, Kentik has earned their fair share of recognition in the enterprise IT industry, most recently being named a Cool Vendor in Availability and Performance by technology research giant Gartner, Inc. Kentik has welcomed more than 60 customers during this time period, including some of the world’s largest web enterprises such as Box, Yelp, Pandora, OpenSNS and Instart Logic. In addition,\u00a0Kentik attained entry to new markets as one of five global startups chosen by the innovation arms of service provider giants Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Singtel and Telefonica through their Go Ignite alliance.<\/p>\n
