MicroStrategy is adding several new capabilities to its MicroStrategy 2019 product, according to a press release<\/a> on the company’s website. MicroStrategy 2019 Update 2 enhances the tool’s HyperIntelligence feature which enables new ways for users to access data. The release also includes add-ons designed to augment user productivity on popular business intelligence tools like Tableau, Microsoft Power BI and Qlik. The company first released MicroStrategy 2019<\/a> in January.<\/p>\n

MicroStrategy is debuting HyperIntelligence for mobile, enabling people with Android as well as iOS devices to take advantage of the functionality. Update 2 includes a standalone HyperIntelligence app for Android that works on any device and supports in-app search and calendar-based notifications. There’s also HyperIntelligence for Microsoft Office Outlook, as well as the web, which enables users to see contextual information on their web applications and drive workflows by directly linking other applications.<\/p>\n

Tableau and Power BI users can now connect to MicroStrategy’s Enterprise Semantic Graph and access up to 4 million rows with 10 columns of trusted data, while Qlik customers can access 2 million rows with 10 columns of trusted data. In total, the product update will add 400 customer-reported enhancements and fixes. It does not require a metadata update or a full platform install and can be deployed atop the MicroStrategy 2019 platform.<\/p>\n

In a statement to Solutions Review, the company’s Senior Vice President of Product Management Saurabh Abhyankar said: “HyperIntelligence flips the current analytics paradigm on its head. More people across the entire workforce are finally equipped to consume bite-sized insights \u2013 allowing them to easily gain access to relevant KPIs and data-centric recommended actions. The reason it works is because people don\u2019t have to go looking for data or insights, it comes to them \u2013 and all within their favorite tools like email, Salesforce, Workday or Office 365.”<\/p>\n
