Pyramid Analytics has announced<\/a> the release of Pyramid v2020, a new version of the company’s flagship BI and data analytics software. The update is highlighted by a focus on ease of use, which can be seen via the tool’s simplified user interface. Pyramid v2020 includes more than 150 new enterprise features in total, with the most notable being Analytics for Everyone. Analytics for Everyone provides two new discovery environments that compliment the existing Discover mode.<\/p>\n

Pyramid Analytics offers a web-based platform that combines self-service analytics with centralized governance. The product can be deployed on-prem or in the cloud. Pyramid enables those users to prepare, model, visualize, analyze, publish, and present data from web browsers and mobile devices. The company\u2019s product portfolio remains highly integrated with Microsoft\u2019s BI tools, offering an enterprise front-end to Microsoft SQL Server Analyses Services (SSAS).<\/p>\n

Pyramid v2020 includes SAP BW Integration, which enables users to directly connect to SAP BW and natively interact with cubes and queries without ingesting data. Users can mash their SAP data with other sources as well. An ETL 2.0 feature (designed for power users and data scientists) upgrades the Pyramid Analytics data modeling and wrangling capabilities. The new Augmented Machine Learning Server in v2020 lets administrators create standard environments for specific machine learning projects. Users can then standardize distinct Python environments to ensure machine learning execution.<\/p>\n

In a media statement, the company’s co-founder and CEO Omri Kohl spoke about the release, saying: “An undeniable gap exists in today\u2019s data and analytics market. Tools are either meant for skilled professionals to perform complex machine learning projects, or business users to consume and interact with dashboards. Pyramid v2020 addresses this gap with a highly tailored, configurable experience. Pyramid adapts to users\u2019 skills – all with the enterprise-level features and functionality of the Pyramid platform.”<\/p>\n
