SAP has announced a suite of new products and services designed to help citizen and professional developers accelerate their digital transformation initiatives. The announcements—made at SAP TechEd, SAP’s online global developer conference—include a unified low-code/no-code development experience for the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), expansions to SAP’s embedded AI capabilities, and updates to the SAP Integration Suite.
SAP is an enterprise application software provider that works with companies of all sizes and in all industries. The company provides its clients with an extensive, end-to-end collection of applications and services, including machine learning, IoT (IoT), and advanced analytics. Its product suite contains ERP, CRM, HCM, supply chain, spend management, and business technology platforms.
The new products, services, and integrations announced will help professional and citizen developers streamline and improve their business. For example, the low-code/no-code development experience on SAP BTP enables developers to create new applications, improve existing ones, and automate complex tasks. Meanwhile, the improvements made to SAP’s embedded AI technologies will simplify the development and monitoring of automated chatbots. Rounding out the announcements is a new learning site that SAP is launching to help SAP developers upskill or reskill their expertise.
Juergen Mueller, the CTO of SAP and a Member of the Executive Board at SAP SE, says, “For our customers and partners all over the world, the future is in the cloud. Accessing the right talent, skills, and capabilities for this journey can be a challenge. SAP’s announcements not only empower citizen developers but also support professional developers in their continuous learning efforts so customers can innovate today and continue building the foundation for success tomorrow.”
