11 Cloud Companies Featured on CRN’s 2015 Emerging Vendors List

CRNemergingvendorsComputer Reseller News Magazine, more commonly known as CRN, has released the latest iteration of its yearly CRN Emerging Vendors Report.

The Report is a list of more than 180 companies which CRN considers to be, one way or another, “emerging” in the enterprise information technology space. All of the companies listed, “have something going for them,” according to CRN’s release, “whether it’s ground-breaking technology, visionary leadership, devotion to a channel strategy, or some combination of those and other qualities.”

As we all know, cloud computing is growing at an astounding rate, as CRN notes, spending on cloud computing infrastructure and platforms is expected to grow at a 30 percent CAGR between 2013 and 2018, in contrast to a 5 percent annual CAGR for overall enterprise IT, according to Goldman Sachs.

In a special report, CRN identified 10 cloud vendors listen in their Emerging Vendors list that they believe are especially poised to “capture a share” of that growth. Below find the ten vendors selected by CRN, plus my own addition—Twistlock, the fast-growing container security company who was featured on the emerging vendors list but for whatever reason left of the “emerging cloud vendors” countdown.
