Today, data center and cloud services provider TierPoint announced the release of their hosted private cloud powered by Nutanix. The solution will run on 40 of TierPoint’s U.S. data centers and powered by Nutanix’s enterprise cloud solutions. TierPoint offers management capabilities for users of the private cloud, including integration other managed solutions (backup, security, firewall, and storage, for example). Each private cloud deployment can be tailored to the individual user based on their enterprise’s needs.
“We prioritized the development of this service because our clients are increasingly asking about the benefits of both private cloud and hyperconverged infrastructure solutions,” says Rob Carter, TierPoint’s Senior Vice President of Product Development, Architecture and Engineering. “By collaborating with a cloud software and hyperconverged infrastructure leader to build this Nutanix-powered service, we’re well positioned to simplify and accelerate the installation of private clouds, while enhancing their ongoing support and scalability into multiple, hybrid-cloud deployment options.”
TierPoint designed their private cloud service to meet their client’s demand for private cloud and hyperconverged infrastructures (HCI). As hybrid cloud continues to grow in popularity, cloud solution providers need to address the shift in businesses’ cloud needs.
