The survey itself questioned more the 100 companies with revenues greater the $500 million and provided some interesting information. For Solutions Review the biggest takeaways were that organizations are looking for high levels of integration with existing infrastructures and that those infrastructures need to modern and scalable in order to handle increased cloud and application integration.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few highlighted data points from SnapLogic\u2019s recent press release:<\/p>\n<p>Data Privacy and Integration Continue to be SaaS Adoption Barriers<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a056% of survey respondents are running four or more SaaS applications.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a022% said that 25-50% of their business applications will be delivered as a cloud service by 2015.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a047% noted data privacy concerns as a barrier to SaaS application adoption in their companies, while 43% prioritized application and data integration challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Modern Cloud Integration Platforms Gaining Traction in the Enterprise<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a059% of survey respondents listed speed or time to value as the primary business driver for a cloud integration service. 53% identified flexibility and agility in response to requests and changes and 27% prioritized the SaaS subscription model (operational vs. capital expense).<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In terms of iPaaS technical requirements, 52% said a modern and scalable architecture was the primary requirement, while 41% prioritized the ability to seamlessly handle cloud constructs such as JSON, REST and APIs.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0When asked about the challenges of relying upon legacy on-premises integration tools for cloud integration, 43% took issue with the requirement for costly hardware purchases and software installation and configuration. 37% found on-premise integration tools to be too expensive due to the perpetual licensing model and 35% noted that change management is painful where end point changes mean integration re-work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cloud Analytics Demand Increasing but Privacy and Security Remain a Concern<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Just under 50% of respondents listed: Speed or time-to-value, flexibility and agility and easy access to business information as the top business drivers for cloud-based analytics.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a057% said that data security and privacy concerns remain a barrier to cloud analytics adoption in their companies. 38% noted the inability for cloud-based business intelligence (BI) tools to handle a large variety of data sources as an adoption barrier.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prweb.com\/releases\/2014\/04\/prweb11771622.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> to read the full release and to access the full survey results.<\/p>\n<div class=\"widget-content\">\n<br \/>Widget not in any sidebars<br \/>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An interesting survey was just conducted and released by SnapLogic and TechValidate Research, a third party research organization, highlighting some interesting results regarding drivers, barriers and concerns across cloud-based data, application integration and Integrated Platform as a Service (iPaaS).
