\nThe top cloud infrastructure providers are continuously advancing to gain more market reach. Microsoft created a lot of cloud buzz earlier this year with the announcement they would shift their focus to Azure and other cloud services<\/a>. This was reflected when their revenue topped AWS in this year’s Q4 report<\/a>. Forbes contributor Bob Evans believes they\u2019ll be the top provider<\/a> again when next week\u2019s cloud quarterly revenue numbers are announced. It must be noted that Microsoft’s cloud revenue is spread across various products and aren’t just limited to Azure. Microsoft has various cloud tools such as Office 365, making their revenue difficult to directly compare to AWS.<\/p>\n

Evans states that Microsoft could be the first tech vendor to reach $7 billion in quarterly cloud revenue. His prediction of AWS is roughly $6 billion in revenue. Microsoft making over $1 billion more than Amazon cloud is telling. Although AWS has around 33% of the\u00a0market share<\/a> and the largest pool of managed services, Microsoft\u2019s dedication and improvement have been monumental for the cloud market.<\/p>\n

Microsoft\u2019s cloud growth in the last four quarters has been 56%, 56%, 56%, and 58%. These numbers are a clear indicator of the company\u2019s sore towards the top of the cloud market.<\/p>\n

Although Microsoft is growing at a dominant rate, this growth doesn\u2019t just illustrate the company\u2019s success, it fits into a larger narrative. The companies at the top are indicative of the state of the market overall. Cloud infrastructures are growing in power and necessity. More enterprises are moving to clouds for their IT workloads and the industry need is diverse.<\/p>\n

The benefits of Azure, AWS, and even Google Cloud Platform is that they\u2019re multifunctional and can be taken advantage of in a variety of ways. Their strengths aren\u2019t limited to a certain market, but they can be limiting for companies that aren\u2019t confident with them. So, through these cloud providers, an entirely new market of service partners has flourished.<\/p>\n

AWS\u2019 age and market presence have allowed numerous partners to exploit enterprise cloud strengths. These clouds are complex, but with the help of experienced partners, enterprises don\u2019t have to worry. Managed service providers will only increase the viability and market presence of the major cloud infrastructures.<\/p>\n
