Running applications in the cloud could be hugely beneficial for you because of performance, flexibility and cost. The PaaS layer will build bridges the needs of the application and the possibilities of the infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The cloud is made up of three layers; the bottom is hardware, which is infrastructure; the top is software which is the applications that deliver the business process and logic. Between the hardware and the software is the platform.<\/p>\n

The platform is an abstracts layer that frees software developed for cloud from reins of the infrastructure. It also allows software to display its essential cloud characteristics that make a true cloud application; scalability, portability and agility.<\/p>\n

The platform could be called the operating system that the software runs on. It could also be called the automation of the infrastructure management process. It also the architect of the hardware and dictates what it is, and how it\u2019s out together.<\/p>\n

PaaS delivers the characteristics that essentially make a cloud a cloud by providing a management wrapper around standardized and proven technologies. A managed PaaS solution will provide an enterprise-ready environment.<\/p>\n
