It isn’t just a matter of hiring cloud geniuses<\/a>, however – especially because in today’s competitive IT market, this can sometimes be impossible. IT managers should also focus on training their current staff in the necessary cloud skills. IT teams should be familiar with what their cloud infrastructure looks like and where all the data is supposed to go. They should also know the procedures for bringing new data into the cloud by heart.<\/p>\n

Cloud security<\/strong><\/h2>\n

While most cloud platforms provide tools that automate security protocols for you, IT teams still need to understand the basics of cloud security. It’s not just up to security tools to keep data in the cloud secure. IT workers should become familiar with how their security tools work and the specific features of each. There are also cloud security certifications, such as CCSP<\/a>, that indicate intricate knowledge of securing cloud data.<\/p>\n

The top three cloud providers<\/a> on the market are AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Most businesses are using at least one of these cloud services, so being familiar with them is a big benefit. Ideally, a cloud professional would know each of these services inside out. Amazon, Microsoft, and Google all offer certifications that show IT managers you know how to operate in each environment.<\/p>\n

There are plenty of tasks in the cloud space that can be automated. IT workers need to be able to set up these automated tasks and ensure that they work properly. This requires knowledge of how the cloud network is laid out, as well as how to program tasks in it. IT teams can draw from several parts of the cloud architecture to automate tasks across the entire cloud spectrum.<\/p>\n

Machine learning and AI<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Several of the top cloud providers have introduced machine learning and AI capabilities into their services. While knowing how to integrate machine learning and AI is important for IT teams, it’s also important to know what projects will benefit from them. Adding these systems doesn’t always benefit your workflows, so teams should learn how to get the best use out of them.<\/p>\n
