Managed cloud services and security solutions provider Rackspace<\/a> today announced<\/a> the acquisition of Amazon Web Services (AWS) managed services provider Onica<\/a>. The impending acquisition will add Onica’s AWS expertise and advisory capabilities to Rackspace’s managed cloud portfolio \u2014 a useful asset as more users turn to professional service providers to help them achieve success with public cloud solutions. The terms of the acquisition have not yet been revealed, but Rackspace expects the deal to close in late Q4 2019.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2014, Onica has grown to over 350 consultants and has earned more than 500 AWS certifications. They recently won CRN’s Triple Crown Award for their growth as an AWS consultancy provider over the past years. Rackspace, a Leader in Gartner’s 2019 Public Cloud Infrastructure Professional and Managed Services, Worldwide<\/em><\/a> Magic Quadrant, will not take over leadership of Onica following the acquisition.<\/p>\n
