XaaS is it’s own entity and it’s morphing quite literally into\u00a0anything you’d like it to be. Anything as a service, or Everything as a service is\u00a0everything that can be offered as a cloud-based IT service, which a pretty wide world of service categories with a long list of products in each<\/p>\n

Examples of Xaas<\/b><\/p>\n

Xaas has been on\u00a0the\u00a0rise in the IT world, there are several identities it’s taken to\u00a0benefit users.\u00a0Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) <\/b>for example, is\u00a0<\/b><\/span>a cloud computing and backup service model that uses cloud resources to protect applications and data from disruption caused by disaster.\u00a0Some other examples include Metal as a Service- No- still not THAT kind of metal, or Network as a service (Naas). Really, if there is anything that you want through \u201cas a service\u201d, just head to XaaS.<\/p>\n

There are many benefits offered by XaaS, for example, with constant availability to resources, data and other services, IT can respond quickly to any change in the business environment and enjoy better profit figures. Possibly one of the best attributes of Xaas, especially for small business, is the flexibility.\u00a0 Being flexible is one of the greatest contributing factors for a company\u2019s scalability. Since most of the processes and operations are handled by XaaS service providers, users can look forward to reduced costs, while enjoying an increase in their scalability metrics.<\/p>\n

Here are a few ‘everything-as-a-service\u2019 (Xaas) companies you may see floating around the cloud. To\u00a0clarify- \u00a0Unified Communications as a Service = (UCaaS), Monitoring\/Management as a Service = (MaaS) and recovery\u00a0as a Service = (RaaS).<\/p>\n

M5 Networks<\/a><\/strong> – M5 Offers UCaaS to customers looking to deploy IP communications through a hosted model.<\/p>\n

Fuze<\/a>–<\/strong> Twice named Gartner<\/a> visionary, the company\u00a0has placed a strong focus on providing a deep dive analytics engine that helps enterprises understand how their cloud-based unified communications is operating across the company<\/p>\n

Boundary<\/a>–<\/strong>\u00a0offering MaaS, the company deploys agents on an enterprise\u2019s applications running in the cloud that examine every packet they see cross the application.<\/p>\n

BigSwitch<\/a><\/strong>–\u00a0offering\u00a0NaaS, Bigswitch \u00a0released an open-source controller based on OpenFlow, a switching and communications protocol that handles packet routing on a software layer, separate from the physical network infrastructure.<\/p>\n

XaaS is not a question of \u201cif\u201d but rather of \u201cwhen\u201d. Businesses should understand and use this technology just to keep up with the competition. In fact, the cloud has simplified acquisition of IT systems by forcing enterprises to focus on the basics of feature, cost and utility.<\/p>\n
