Within enterprise technology, there are several sources for user reviews of vendors and solutions. In our opinion, the Big Three sites for technology reviews are Gartner Peer Insights, G2 Crowd and Trust Radius.
Viewed individually, each site offers the capacity to gain an accurate and deep understanding of how a complex solution is perceived by real users. When taken in the aggregate, these three top solution review sites provide a wealth of information from multiple points of view and taking the time to visit each is a “must” as you think about what technology will be right for your organization.
In order to be considered for a blended review, a content management solution must have at least one review at Gartner Peer Insights, G2 Crowd and Trust Radius. Below is a very brief summary of the user review sites for EMC Documentum Enterprise Content Management. We strongly encourage you to visit each of these sites in order to get a full picture of what users of ECM have to say about their experiences with the solution.
Gartner Peer Insights
Gartner currently has two reviews, both from large companies. One review from an IS manager caught our attention: “Service / Support has been excellent. Technical knowledge of product well demonstrated by EMC. Hardware is owned by EMC and managed as part of the services.”

G2 Crowd
Over at G2 Crowd, there are over 20 reviews of EMC, with most of them being very positive. Most of these reviews were from users working within large companies. One prominent review caught our attention: “EMC Documentum delivers powerful content management and has evolved into an essential element in the mix of business critical services found in many large organizations. These organizations face significant challenges when it comes to day-to-day management and monitoring of the EMC Documentum environment:”

TrustRadius
Unlike Gartner and G2 Crowd, Trust Radius requires you to register before reading full reviews. At over 20 reviews, TrustRadius mainly has reviews written by users within mid-sized and large companies. One reviewer writes that EMC Documentum “can be applied to almost any use-case/scenario due to its flexibility and modularity. However, it does require a significant level of investment and so is probably not ideal for very small implementations.”
Like most great product reviews, this user acknowledges that while he recommends EMC Content Management, he can also see why it won’t fit everybody’s needs.
