Acquia\u00a0<\/span>recently announced<\/span><\/a> its intent to acquire Widen, a cloud-native provider of product information management (PIM) and digital asset management (DAM) software solutions. Once the transaction is completed, which is expected to occur by the end of September 2021, Widen will be available as both a standalone offering or as part of Acquia’s Open Digital Experience Platform (DX). Acquia will discuss more details about the acquisition during a webinar on September 22nd, 2021<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Acquia is an open-source digital experience platform (DXP) designed to help developers, marketers, and IT operation teams build, host, analyze, and communicate with customers with their websites and various digital applications. The platform uses adaptive intelligence and customer data to predict business outcomes, generate actionable insights, develop compelling content, maintain security, and stick to compliance standards.<\/p>\n

Once the acquisition is closed, Widen will bring its PIM and DAM solutions to marketers and website builders and help them create rich and distinctive customer experiences on the Acquia Open Digital Experience Platform (DXP). Widen’s functionalities can also help users unite digital assets (i.e., rich media, product data, marketing copy) in a single workflow that encourages better coordination, collaboration, and control of the digital content lifecycle.<\/p>\n
