Fivetran Unveils Security-Focused Product Tier Fivetran Business Critical

Fivetran recently announced the launch of Fivetran Business Critical, a new product tier that includes a suite of enterprise security features. The new release lets customers create a more secure data stack on Snowflake or Amazon Web Services that meets internal and regulatory compliance. The product features are also in alignment with the Snowflake Business Critical plan. Fivetran connects to customers’ source and/or destination databases that are hosted in AWS without routing data over the public internet.

Fivetran offers a data replication platform with standardized schemas. The product requires no coding or maintenance, and pre-made connectors adjust to schema changes automatically. Pipelines can be set up in as little as five minutes by authenticating your sources and data warehouse. Users can trigger automated transformations via a modern and scalable computing infrastructure without configuration as well.

Fivetran Business Critical enables the platform to replicate on-prem data soucrs to the cloud data platform destination via AWS Direct Connect. It also lets you migrate on-prem databases into a cloud data platform while ensuring compliance.  Fivetran Business Critical uses a customer-operated key management system (KMS) to hold encryption keys that Fivetran uses to encrypt credentials and temporary data processed in the service. Users can select cloud provider geography and geographic region as well (on AWS).
