Data Integration solution provider Talend announced this morning that the newest version of their Data Fabric platform has been certified on the MapR Converged Data Platform. The MapR Converged Data Platform is an enterprise-grade software tool that allows organizations to unify Big Data and open source technologies with native access to event streaming, real-time database capabilities and web-scale storage. It includes MapR-FS, MapR-DB and MapR Streams.

The accreditation means that Talend Data Fabric is the only only integration tool in the market to support MapR Streams. The two Big Data vendors are working on a virtual sandbox that will provide customers with a pre-configured environment for experimenting with real-time and batch processing and integration. It will enable developers with limited experience in Big Data to move forward with data acceleration and requires no coding.

In a statement, Talend’s Vice President of Partner Ecosystems Mike Pickett explained: “Together, Talend and MapR solutions can meet all customers’ application and data integration needs, in order to transform stores of corporate data into real-time business insights.”

Pickett was joined by Geneva Lake, the Vice President of Alliances and Channels at MapR, who concluded: “To get the most ROI out of any big data implementation, IT leaders need a modern, agile IT environment that can keep pace with rapidly changing market demands. Our joint platform will help customers both maximize the benefit and simplify management of next-generation cloud and big data applications.”
