According to a new market research report<\/a> by MarketsandMarkets, Data Integration software adoption is being buoyed by the rise of cloud computing and a growing requirement for on-demand data access. MarketsandMarkets projects revenue growth for integration tools to grow by nearly 14 percent by the year 2022 to roughly $12 billion. The major factor contributing to this surge is the proliferation of data volumes and the combining of heterogeneous data sources. Organizations now more than ever are finding it necessary to form a consolidated view of data assets.<\/p>\n

According to the study, it is expected that human resource applications to soak up much of the growth, as HR use cases for Data Integration are expanding to include different types of data. Report authors add: “With emergence of new HR analytics use cases, such as talent analytics and workforce capital analytics, data integration tools will be crucial for effective data analysis.” Types of data that organizations are increasingly using to warrant growth include compensation, workforce planning, talent acquisition, and social media data.<\/p>\n

As a result of cross-sector adoption, tools that offer on-demand deployment are expected to see the most growth of any in the field during the years in the forecast period. Not so unexpectedly, North America is expected to dominate the market for these tools during that same timeframe. According to MarketsandMarkets, the major software providers in the integration tools space include – SAP, SAS, Cisco, Information Builders, Actian, Syncsort, Pitney Bowes, IBM, Informatica, Oracle, Talend, Microsoft, Denodo, HVR Software, and Attunity.<\/p>\n

Similarly, analyst house Gartner, Inc. also expects to see considerable\u00a0growth<\/a> in the cloud integration software market in the near term. In their newest Data Integration market report on Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), they argue that the hybridization of application portfolios will act as a major driver to a sudden need to integrate between them.<\/p>\n
