TIBCO Software has released<\/a> a cloud-native version of its TIBCO Cloud Mashery software, an API management platform for containerized private cloud and public Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments. The tool provides core API management for organizations in the midst of adopting cloud-native development and deployment practices like DevOps and microservices development. The solution is compatible with any PaaS or Infrastructure as a Service, as well as Kubernetes.<\/p>\n

The product update means that TIBCO Mashery will be available globally in a containerized deployment that enables quicker development and improved control and scalability. TIBCO also provides API creation, productization, security, analytics of specific API programs, and a community of developers.<\/p>\n

TIBCO Mashery provides API management capabilities in a SaaS framework for APIs, B2B APIs, and public API programs.\u00a0 It features API creation, packaging, testing, and management of APIs and a community of users. Security is provided via an embedded or optional on-prem API gateway. The company also offers a fully integrated data\u00a0platform that can handle a variety of data integration use cases. TIBCO\u2019s integration solution can be deployed on-prem, in the cloud, or via a hybrid model.<\/p>\n

In a statement to the media, the company’s Vice President of Product Management and Strategy Rajeev Kozhikkattuthodi said of the news: “TIBCO\u2019s approach provides all the benefits of the cloud with additional customer control, plus seamless alignment with cloud-native development tooling and practices. We are proud to continue leading the market in API management through innovation, this time by providing first-of-a-kind capabilities in cloud-native API management.”<\/p>\n

This release comes on the heels of TIBCO’s June acquisition<\/a> of cloud integrator Scribe Software, signaling an investment in growing its data and analytics product portfolio. TIBCO has since rolled Scribe Online capabilities into its TIBCO Cloud Integration solution as a complimentary package.<\/p>\n
