Hitachi Vantara Unveils New Version of Lumada DataOps Suite

Hitachi Vantara recently announced the newest version of its newest Lumada DataOps Suite featuring a new composable architecture. The release is powered by a new version of Hitachi’s Pentaho data integration and analytics platform, now upgraded to version 9.2. The Lumada DataOps Suite is a modular software platform that features data integration, data analytics, data cataloging, and edge intelligence tools that help connect data and assets. The Lumada DataOps Suite provides a scalable foundation for different Lumada software products which can be spun up and down across multiple cloud providers.

Hitachi Vantara is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., and offers an expansive portfolio of products for integrating, managing, and analyzing data. Hitachi’s portfolio of data management solutions are best suited for modern environments and can help organizations to quickly improve their key performance metrics, including business continuity, backup windows, operational recovery, and disaster recovery. The tool also provides data protection and recovery for complex enterprise architectures.

The new Pentaho 9.2 offers full Microsoft Azure support. The platform’s open ecosystem now includes updated data store support for Cloudera Data Platform and HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric (MapR) as well. Logging enhancements for Pentaho Business Analytics also improve installation cycles by bringing automated upgrades that consolidate multiple licenses into one ecosystem.

The Lumada Data Catalog utilizes a unique ‘fingerprint’ technology that was acquired via its merger with Waterline Data in 2020 to offer data discovery and rationalization for improved governance and provisioning. Also new are improved collaboration tools in search, filter, and export functions of the self-service portal. The Lumada DataOps Suite, Pentaho 9.2, and Lumada Data Catalog 6.2 are available worldwide now from Hitachi Vantara and its global partner network.
