HPE Unveils Verity, the ‘Single Source of Truth’ Solution for Data Management

HPE

Hewlett Packard Enterprise recently announced the launch of the HPE Verity Suite, an integrated set of solutions to help organizations manage, govern and extract actionable insights from the data they collect. In addition, the company is also unveiling HPE Verity Information Archiving, the platform’s first module to help companies manage and control data in accordance with regulatory, legal and operational mandates.

HPE is calling Verity a “Single Source of Truth” solution, purpose-built to serve the full spectrum of Data Management and governance needs with a unified index and user experience. It features a common data store and an ability to simply expose new functionality as needed. IT, compliance, legal and risk management professionals will become empowered to attain visibility and control over enterprise data volumes that are on the rise.

HPE Verity features an open approach to deployment and hosting. Organizations can use the solution to capture, manage and protect data that can be hosted on a variety of public and private cloud infrastructures including Amazon Web Services and HPE Helion/OpenStack. In addition, Verity includes a fully unified framework of enterprise-grade applications built on efficient, scalable infrastructure and with a common index and user interface. This allows users to leverage interactive visualizations across all key data to gain a real-time understanding of enterprise information, identify patterns and answer questions.

Information Archiving is one of the key modules in the HPE framework that enables enterprises to govern data in accordance with compliance, legal and regulatory mandates. It is complimentary to HPE’s Digital Safe solution, an archiving, supervision and eDiscovery solution that meets specific compliance needs for large enterprises in highly regulated verticals.

David Jones, Senior VP and GM of Information Management & Governance at HPE, adds: “The market is cluttered with disparate solutions that manage business information, but rarely do these technologies work seamlessly with one another. By delivering a single source of truth — aligning directly to the Verity name — we’re providing customers with a single-index solution that will help them manage and extract value from a wide array of content, and will help position them to make more informed business decisions and compete at global scale.”

HPE Verity is available now, as well as its enabling technology Connected MX. It can be deployed across global cloud infrastructures. Future versions are expected to be delivered on-premise, providing even greater flexibility. Additional modules are available in preview releases and will be available later in the year.

HPE was recently named a market challenger in Gartner’s 2016 Magic Quadrant for Data Warehouse and Data Management Solutions for Analytics. The report cites HPE highly in terms of value for the money, and reference customers use the solution for a variety of use cases and data types, which demonstrates adoption by leading-edge enterprises.
