Teradata recently announced the release of Teradata QueryGrid on its Vantage platform, according to a press release on the company’s website. Teradata QueryGrid expands access to data with broad ecosystem connectivity and lets customers connect to a variety of new data sources regardless of where the data lives. The innovation also gives customers the ability to dynamically access data in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, as well as push processing down to where the data resides.

Teradata offers a broad spectrum of data management solutions that include database management, cloud data warehousing, and data warehouse appliances. The company’s product portfolio is available on its own managed cloud and on Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure. Teradata provides organizations the ability to run diverse queries, in-database analytics, and complex workload management.

Also included in this release is a partnership with Starburst Data to integrate a new Presto connector that allows Vantage users to utilize Starburst Enterprise Presto as part of Teradata QueryGrid. The integration with Starburst Enterprise Presto enables the connection to new data sources like MongoDB, Amazon Redshift, Databricks Delta Lake, Apache Cassandra, Google BigQuery, and more.

In a media statement on the news, Teradata Chief Product Officer Hillary Ashton said “With these cloud-native updates to Vantage’s high-speed data fabric, we continue to give our customers the utmost choice and flexibility in how and when they choose to access their data, while also eliminating data movement and increasing performance – optimizing cost and delivering analytics that matter.”

Teradata Vantage with QueryGrid is certified on all the major cloud platforms and now touts integrations with key cloud-native technologies like Google Cloud Dataproc, Azure HDInsight, and Amazon EMR.
