Apricorn Aegis Fortress L3 SSD

Apricorn develops software-free, 256-bit AES XTS hardware-encrypted USB drives, among other storage products. The provider differentiates itself from its competitors with its security technology. This past June, the vendor released its new 20TB Aegis Fortress L3 SSD, which is designed for businesses concerned with data security and cyber resiliency. This device also features the highest level of Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), which exceeds the standards required by the U.S. government, according to the manufacturer. This SSD is targeted towards enterprises and regulated industries dealing with large amounts of critical data, including finance, government, legal, and healthcare.

Dell PowerStore 500

Dell’s recently released PowerStore 500 is the newest addition to the PowerStore family. This product was developed as a competitively priced all-flash storage array delivering enterprise-grade performance and storage services for businesses of all sizes. The PowerStore 500 is also optimized for use in remote or branch locations, edge environments, or larger IT deployments. The array is available through Dell’s Flex On Demand service and comes in a 2U form-factor chassis with a capacity of up to 1.2 petabytes. The PowerStore also offers “always on” data reduction that combines hardware-enabled data compression and deduplication to provide greater storage efficiency.

Infinidat InfiniBox SSA

Infinidat’s Infinibox SSA is the newest entry in the InfiniBox series of all-flash arrays. This array is recommended for storage tasks that require consistent low latency. According to the manufacturer, by leveraging an SSD back-end combined with Infinidat’s Neural Cache deep learning algorithms, InfiniBox SSA serves much of the I/O from DRAM, which is an order of magnitude faster than flash-based SSDs. This array is also designed for zero downtime over its lifecycle and comes with a 100 percent availability guarantee.

Pure Storage FlashArray//C

This past February, Pure Storage expanded its FlashArray//C line of entry-level all-flash arrays with the addition of a new controller to its existing FlashArray//C60 array. The new product delivers an increased capacity of up to 1.8 petabytes of raw data across 10 QLC drives with a 33 percent improvement in storage efficiency. Pure Storage also introduced the FlashArray//C40, a new entry-level model that provides up to 494 TBs of capacity across two QLC drives. Additionally, users of the FlashArray line can now add asynchronous replication capabilities as needed.

Seagate One Touch SSD

In May, Seagate unveiled its new portable NVMe Seagate One Touch SSDs. According to the manufacturer, the One Touch SSD delivers sequential read/write speeds of up to 1030MB/s with between 500 GBs and 2 TBs of capacity. The SSD uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB-C technology and is compatible with USB-C and USB 3.0 computers, with both cables included. The One Touch SSD also offers continuous automatic backup, mirror folders for seamless file management, and file protection from Sync Plus software. Additionally, the SSD is shock-resistant to drops of up to 2 meters.
