Dell EMC Releases Performance Updates for VxRail HCI
Dell Technologies has announced new Dell EMC VxRail hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) systems with enhanced performance based on recently launched Dell EMC PowerEdge servers. In addition to HCI solutions, the vendor delivers new software advancements and the introduction of dynamic nodes that evolve how VxRail helps customers to more effectively use existing resources and support demanding workloads.
Dell EMC enables digital transformation through hybrid cloud and big data solutions built on a data center infrastructure that brings together converged infrastructure, servers, storage, and cybersecurity technologies. The provider’s VxRail appliances are based on VMware’s Virtual Storage Area Network (vSAN) technology. Additionally, Dell EMC provides a VMware Cloud Foundation designed as a turnkey hybrid cloud platform for businesses that want to run Kubernetes at cloud scale. The vendor also provides HCI software for organizations that have standardized around Microsoft technologies, as well as a Microsoft Azure Stack HCI system.
As the only HCI system jointly engineered with VMware, VxRail provides unique automation and orchestration capabilities that enable its users to accelerate business outcomes across core data centers, cloud, and edge locations. Additionally, new VxRail systems with the latest Dell EMC PowerEdge server technology, including 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, deliver 42 percent more cores for faster performance when compared to previous generations.

The VxRail HCI System Software advancements give users more control over installation with new self-service tools. Customers can validate, orchestrate, and automate cluster deployment on their own time. This capability makes the software ideal for enterprises with remote or distributed environments. Additional software features enable users to better meet workload demands by dynamically redeploying or reallocating nodes within clusters.
