Hitachi Vantara Releases New Tools to Support Data Infrastructure Needs
Hitachi Vantara has announced the expansion of its E Series line of high-performance NVMe all-flash arrays, additions to the HNAS family of NAS solutions, and launched the Hitachi Virtual Storage as a Service aimed at mid-sized enterprises. The provider also revealed new initiatives designed to enable channel partners to help mid-sized enterprise customers accelerate into a new era of digital business platforms, infrastructure, and ecosystems.
Hitachi Vantara assists enterprises with storing, enriching, activating, and monetizing their data. The provider offers four solutions under the umbrella of object storage, namely, Hitachi Content Platform (HCP), HCP Anywhere, Hitachi Data Ingestor (HDI), and Hitachi Content Intelligence. Each provides object storage, file synchronization, sharing, end-user data protection; a cloud file gateway; and search and analytic insights. The vendor is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., and also offers backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Hitachi Vantara is expanding its Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform E Series line with the addition of VSP E590 and E790, new all NVMe midrange all-flash models that bring enterprise-level features and benefits to organizations of all sizes. The new E Series features intelligent embedded management capabilities designed to simplify all aspects of the E Series, from rapid installation to automated provisioning and intelligent performance management. Additionally, VSP E590 and E790 are 2U platforms that enable simplicity through integrated data protection and copy data management features to facilitate the day-to-day management of data.

With our new as a Service offering, we’re further easing the burden of managing infrastructure so customers can focus on what matters most — managing their business.”
Hitachi Virtual Storage as a Service delivers cloud storage services specifically designed for midmarket needs. It is offered as a managed service, either on-prem or colocated. The flexibility of a consumption-based pricing model offers predictable rates and a self-service console to adapt to changing infrastructure needs.
