Pivot3 Improves on Video Surveillance Environments Powered by Lenovo ThinkSystem Servers
Pivot3 recently announced a new platform for video surveillance solutions that allow businesses to optimize their mission-critical security operations. Powered by the next-generation Lenovo ThinkSystem SR655 server platform with 2nd Gen AMD EPYC processor, the new Pivot3 solutions provide 10 percent lower cost per petabyte, 14 percent better capacity density, and 100 percent more bandwidth than similar solutions. This results in improved camera density at a lower overall TCO for users who consider their video mission-critical.
Pivot3 provides Dynamic Hyperconverged and PCIe Flash Arrays, as well as hybrid cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. The vendor’s offerings are optimized for server virtualization, virtual desktop, data center consolidation, video surveillance, business continuity, disaster recovery, and remote and branch office. Pivot3’s storage solution provides security, resilience, and management at scale for the user’s environments. Powered by its Intelligence Engine, Pivot3 automates the management of multiple mixed application workloads and reduces unplanned downtime.
With the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR655 server platform, the new Pivot3 Surveillance Series appliances provide the performance of a dual-socket server at a lower acquisition cost. The single-socket configuration also offers the potential to save up to 50 percent on software licensing, compared to the dual socket x86 alternative without sacrificing any performance. The new Pivot3 solutions empower businesses dealing with the extreme growth of video to capture, store, and analyze large amounts of video data while controlling infrastructure investments.
