Aeris Launches an Integrated Security Solution for Cellular IoT
Aeris, a global provider of secure cellular IoT platforms, has launched Aeris IoT Watchtower, a fully integrated security solution curated for cellular IoT. With IoT Watchtower, Aeris can provide clients with enterprise IoT visibility and control to prevent IoT security breaches, significantly reduce the impact of any IoT security event, improve operational efficiency, and ensure consistent regulatory compliance. IoT Watchtower is built on Aeris IoT Watchtower Awareness and Aeris IoT Watchtower Enforcement.
Aviatrix Releases the Aviatrix Kubernetes Firewall
Aviatrix, a cloud network security company, has launched the Aviatrix Kubernetes Firewall, a new offering that addresses the security and application modernization challenges faced by enterprises operating Kubernetes at scale, particularly those in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The Aviatrix Kubernetes Firewall will extend Aviatrix’s existing Cloud Firewall capabilities with new features and enhancements, including granular identity-based security, a single security model to unify policies across applications, policy-based egress filtering, automated policy management, and hybrid and multi-cloud visibility.
BlackFog Reveals the Findings From its 2024 State of Ransomware Report
BlackFog, a ransomware prevention and anti-data exfiltration (ADX) provider, has released the findings from its 2024 State of Ransomware Report. The report provides readers with a detailed analysis of ransomware activity from publicly disclosed and non-disclosed attacks and reveals that attacks reached record levels throughout 2024. The findings show that the rate of data exfiltration reached an all-time high, new variants were responsible for nearly a third of all undisclosed attacks, and the healthcare, government, and education sectors were the most targeted.
Blackwire Labs and Carahsoft Detail a New Partnership
Blackwire Labs, an expert-led tech firm offering trusted AI cybersecurity solutions, has announced a partnership with Carahsoft Technology Corp., a government IT solutions provider. As part of the collaboration, Carahsoft will operate as Blackwire Lab’s Public Sector distributor to make its AI-powered platform, Blackwire.ai, available to Federal agencies at every level. The new tools are built to integrate generative, edge, and intent-based AI features with CommScope’s WiFi 7 portfolio to unlock an additional level of simplicity, automation, and customization in enterprise networks. Additionally, RUCKUS Networks is working with Nokia on a joint enterprise solution that combines Nokia’s next-generation optical LAN solution with RUCKUS WiFi APs and the RUCKUS One platform. This will provide companies with an AI-driven platform to enhance multi-access network assurance, business intelligence, and service delivery.
Halcyon Details its Ransomware Detection and Recovery Service
Halcyon, a ransomware defense solution, has announced details on Halcyon Ransomware Detection and Recovery (RDR), a no-cost integrated service now included with every deployment of the Halcyon Anti-Ransomware Platform. The Halcyon RDR service is powered by Halcyon’s RISE Team, the company’s “elite group” of ransomware experts. The offering is built around three features—detection, response, and recovery—and aims to deliver powerful ransomware protections to ensure an attack does not disrupt business operations. If an attack does affect a Halcyon customer, Halcyon RDR will work with them to recover and restore their environment at no additional cost under the Halcyon Ransomware Warranty.
IP Fabric Launches a Firewall Policy Management Solution
IP Fabric, an Automated Network Assurance Platform, has launched a Firewall Policy Management solution in collaboration with Network to Code. As part of this collaboration, IP Fabric will integrate with Network to Code’s open-source Enterprise Network Source of Truth and Automation Platform, Nautobot, to help teams automate firewall rule creation, validation, and deployment. Pavel Bykov, IP Fabric’s CEO and co-founder, says, “By combining our capabilities with Nautobot’s policy automation and remediation, we deliver a complete solution for enterprises managing multiple firewall policies across diverse environments.”
NETSCOUT SYSTEMS Launches New AI/ML-Powered Features
NETSCOUT SYSTEMS—a performance management, cybersecurity, and DDoS attack protection solutions provider—has enhanced its Arbor Threat Mitigation System (TMS) Adaptive DDoS Protection solution with additional AI/ML functionalities designed to detect and block malicious traffic. The new functionalities include an AI/ML-powered tool for detecting source host misuse, making it easier for teams to detect and block outbound DDoS attacks. Another addition is the TMS Source Mitigations feature, which enables network operators to redirect and surgically protect against threat activity from specific sources without requiring fully inline solutions on all network traffic.
NinjaOne Receives $500 Million From a Venture Funding Round
NinjaOne, an automated endpoint management platform, has raised $500 million from Series C extensions at a $5 billion valuation. The venture funding came in separate tranches led by ICONIQ Growth and CapitalG, Alphabet’s independent investment fund, with participation from other prominent private investors. NinjaOne will use these funds to drive its ongoing research and development on autonomous endpoint management, autonomous patching, vulnerability remediation, and expanded IT use cases that improve employee experiences with devices. It will also use it to support the company’s customer support initiatives and fund its pending acquisition of SaaS backup and data protection leader Dropsuite.
Salvador Tech and Armis Partner Announce Their Partnership
Salvador Tech, a cyber-attack resilience and recovery company, has partnered with Armis, a cyber exposure management and security provider. As part of the collaboration, Salvador Tech will leverage the Armis Centrix platform for device and asset inventory, providing customers. Alex Yevtushenko, the co-founder and CEO of Salvador Tech, “By leveraging the Armis Centrix platform, we are able to help customers understand their device landscape, prioritize risks, and adjust recovery objectives for each asset. This integration creates a comprehensive cybersecurity solution.”
Trend Micro Debuts a New AI Agent
Trend Micro, a global cybersecurity provider, has launched a new AI Agent built to change how enterprises approach cyber risk. The announcement introduces Trend Cybertron, a specialized cybersecurity large language model (LLM) for driving proactive security outcomes. Trend Cybertron uses precise local risk assessments and some of the deepest global threat intelligence in the industry to predict and prevent threats across an organization’s entire attack surface in any environment. Trend Cybertron is seamlessly integrated into the company’s Vision One Platform and is now available to customers worldwide.
Zscaler Announces an Asset Exposure Management Solution
Zscaler, a cloud security provider, has announced Zscaler Asset Exposure Management, a new solution built to advance how organizations manage their asset risk. The new solution will serve as a foundation for Zscaler’s broader Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) offerings. It aims to help companies consolidate and correlate data from multiple sources to deliver a precise inventory of assets, increase visibility into their security gaps to mitigate cyber risk, identify coverage gaps, resolve data discrepancies, and enhance data accuracy with automatic updates to Configuration Management Databases (CMDB).
