Aryaka Announces a Cyber Threat Research Lab (CTRL)
Aryaka, a Unified SASE as a Service provider, has announced details on the Aryaka Cyber Threat Research Lab (CTRL), a proactive research center focused on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating emergent network security risks. The Aryaka CTRL team—under the leadership of Aditya Sood, VP of Security Engineering and AI Strategy—will focus on conducting proactive research that analyzes data to stay ahead of the latest threats. The company also announced the promotion of Vidyaranya Maddi to Chief Customer Officer and the hiring of Scott Fanning, formerly of Palo Alto Networks, as VP of Security Product Management.
Cymulate Acquires CYNC Secure
Cymulate, a threat exposure validation solution provider, has announced its acquisition of CYNC Secure, a cybersecurity startup that focuses on improving operational efficiencies for exposure management programs. The strategic acquisition aims to accelerate the time-to-market for Cymulate’s Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) platform, which it plans to launch in 2025. As part of the acquisition agreement, CYNC Secure’s core development and leadership team will merge with Cymulate, including its co-founder and CEO, Meir Abergel, who will become vice president of Business Development and Alliances.
Darktrace Details its Plan to Acquire Cado Security
Darktrace, a global provider of AI solutions for cybersecurity, has announced its proposed acquisition of Cado Security, a UK-based cyber investigation and response solution for the hybrid and multi-cloud markets. As part of the planned acquisition, Darktrace will focus on accelerating the growth of Cado’s existing products and combine its forensic investigation technology with Darktrace’s ActiveAI Security Platform to enhance data collection across multiple cloud environments. The additional data Cado provides will also help Darktrace augment its Cyber AI Analyst solution.
Darktrace Appoints a Chief Customer Officer
Darktrace also announced the appointment of Bryce Coté as its first Chief Customer Officer. This role will help Darktrace enhance communication and integration between multiple touchpoints in the company and ensure consistent customer experiences for its community. In the role, Coté will develop an “outstanding” experience for current and future Darktrace customers. Exabeam Debuts its First Quarterly Product Launch of 2025
Exabeam, a global cybersecurity company for AI-driven security operations, has announced details on its first quarterly product launch of 2025. As part of this update, the company’s cloud-native New-Scale Security Operations Platform becomes compatible with the Open-API Standard (OAS). This compatibility will allow SOC teams to create automations and playbooks with and move away from the monolithic systems that provide “good enough” security. Other additions to the quarterly release include risk-scoring tools for New-Scale Analytics, unified threat detection and response, accelerated threat triage, and a partner-centric open platform.
Quorum Cyber Acquires Kivu Consulting
Quorum Cyber—a managed and professional cybersecurity service provider—has announced its acquisition of Kivu Consulting, a global cybersecurity firm specializing in Incident Response. The acquisition will help Quorum Cyber bolster its global expansion, expand its presence in specific industries, and provide a foundation for strengthening its alliances.
