QuSecure’s Post-Quantum Cybersecurity Solution Wins Army’s xTechSearch 6 Competition for Innovative Technology

QuSecure, Inc., a provider of post-quantum cybersecurity (PQC), announced that QuProtect, the industry’s first end-to-end PQC software-based solution uniquely designed to protect encrypted communications and data with quantum-resilience using quantum secure channels, has won the Army’s sixth iteration of its open topic prize competition, Expeditionary Technology Search (xTechSearch). New Study Reveals a Majority of SMBs Lack 24/7 Security Operations to Detect and Respond to Threats

Pondurance, a provider of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, announced today findings from a commissioned study conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of Pondurance, which found that while 81 percent of small and medium-sized businesses surveyed are monitored by a security operations center (SOC), 57 percent do not operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Considering that 69 percent of SMBs feel they are facing critical and expanding cybersecurity threats and 75 percent say cyber-attacks have increased in the past three years, the lack of 24/7 coverage continues to put SMBs at considerable risk.

Cisco Releases Patches for Critical Flaws Impacting Nexus Dashboard for Data Centers

Cisco on Wednesday released security patches for 45 vulnerabilities affecting various products, some of which could be exploited to execute arbitrary actions with elevated permissions on affected systems. The most severe of the issues are CVE-2022-20857, CVE-2022-20858, and CVE-2022-20861, which impact Cisco Nexus Dashboard for data centers and cloud network infrastructures and could enable an “unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands, read or upload container image files, or perform a cross-site request forgery attack.”

VMware Furthers Commitment to Public Sector, Achieves Expanded FedRAMP High Authorization

Tech giant, VMWare, announced that it has achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High Authorization through the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) for VMware Government Services, which includes VMware Carbon Black Cloud and VMware SD-WAN on AWS GovCloud (US). These cloud services are designed to empower US government agencies and customers supporting the US government to migrate, manage, and operate sensitive workloads in the cloud. VMware Government Services is now available on the FedRAMP Marketplace.
