The Trend Micro Apex One is designed to serve as a single agent for a wide breadth of endpoint protection capabilities for Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) and on-premises deployments. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><div class=\"widget\"><div class=\"aside-card\">\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/solutionsreview.com\/endpoint-security\/carbon-black-gartner-magic-quadrant-for-endpoint-protection-platforms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1682\" src=\"https:\/\/solutionsreview.com\/endpoint-security\/files\/2019\/01\/2018-carbon-black-gartner-speedbump.jpg\" alt=\"Download Link to Gartner 2018 Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms\" width=\"800\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to a press release, the Trend Micro Apex One offers automated detection &amp; response capabilities, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and actionable insights. The product also connected to Trend Micro\u2019s managed detection and response solution. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kevin Simzer, Chief Operating Officer at Trend Micro, said in a statement: \u201cOur latest release has advancements that address the most pressing endpoint security issues being faced in the industry today. Despite the claims of some so-called \u2018next-gen\u2019 vendors, effective protection requires multiple layers of security, which is foundational to our strategy.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">EDR has become one of the sought-after capabilities in next-generation endpoint security solutions as the cybersecurity paradigm shifts from prevention to detection and remediation. Endpoint security vendors are working to incorporate EDR capabilities either through acquiring other solution providers with EDR or through developing their own. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In either case, EDR\u2019s increased essentiality in enterprise solutions has further rendered legacy endpoint security solutions obsolete.
