The Semiconductor designer and developer announced plans to purchase the <a href=\"https:\/\/solutionsreview.com\/endpoint-security\/free-endpoint-protection-buyers-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">endpoint security<\/a> provider for $10.7 billion in cash.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Additionally, as part of Broadcom acquiring Symantec, the Symantec brand name shall become incorporated into the Broadcom portfolio. The transaction should close in the first quarter of the 2020 fiscal year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This marks another major landmark in Broadcom\u2019s acquisitions. In addition to Symantec, Broadcom also purchased identity management provider CA Technologies for almost $19 billion last year.
