According to a press release, the 2020 SonicWall Cyber Threat Report compiles threat intelligence collected over the course of 2019. In the report, SonicWall Capture Labs recorded 9.9 billion malware attacks in 2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In fact, this represents a slight decrease of 6 percent compared to the 10.5 billion detected in 2018. However, SonicWall noted that modern cyber-attacks became more targeted with higher degrees of success; additionally, SonicWall noted the prevalence of fileless malware among the attacks.
