Accenture Acquires Impendi to Expand its Sourcing and Procurement Offerings

Accenture has acquired Impendi, a sourcing and procurement services provider for private equity clients. Impendi will join Accenture’s Sourcing and Procurement practice to help provide Accenture’s privacy equity clients with third-party cost reduction and procurement transformation capabilities. Jack Azagury, group chief executive for Strategy & Consulting at Accenture, says, “This move is part of our continued investment to serve our private equity clients and enables us to further expand the Sourcing and Procurement practice while building capabilities that help our clients on their path of continuous reinvention and to realize value at pace.”

Capgemini and Amazon Web Servies Expand Their Collaboration

Capgemini has signed a multi-year strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), which will help accelerate the adoption of generative AI technologies in companies of all sizes. The partnership between Capgemini and AWS will equip joint clients with Capgemini’s existing network of AWS Centers of Excellence (CoEs), helping them take their investments from individual pilots and proof of concepts to production at scale. The expanded partnership will also accelerate the deployment of industry-specific and functional use cases using Amazon Bedrock.

Cognizant Details a New Partnership with Microsoft

Cognizant has announced a collaboration with Microsoft, which will include the launch of the Innovation Assistant, a generative AI-powered tool built on the Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service. This tool will augment Cognizant’s internal innovation program, Bluebolt, and provide a framework for Cognizant employees worldwide to contribute to the innovation process. Innovation Assistant uses Bluebolt’s generative AI technology to provide users with virtual guidance and real-world support to utilize the company’s extensive expertise to help clients.

fabric Announces Details on its New Order Management System

fabric, a “next-generation” commerce platform provider, has announced the availability of the fabric Order Management System (OMS). The new OMS is native to fabric’s commerce platform and is designed to unlock commerce services like dropship to help companies streamline their real-time inventory and order management efforts. With fabric commerce and OMS, omnichannel retailers can mitigate out-of-stock risks, offload slow-moving inventory with timely promotions, and reduce returns via catalog enrichment and mixed collections of owned and dropship SKUs.

McKinsey and SAP Debut a New Generative AI Offering

McKinsey has announced a new generative AI-centric collaboration with SAP that will expand on their long-standing alliance. The collaboration includes a new offering, the Generative Enterprise, designed to unlock additional synergies between the SAP Business AI and QuantumBlack, AI by McKinset solutions. With the Generative Enterprise offering, clients can use generative AI to adapt to disruptions by synchronizing their strategies, operating models, processes, data designs, and operational executions. It also features platform reference architecture that combines MLOps, process excellence, enterprise architecture governance, and a cloud deployment platform.

Siemens and Salesforce Announce a New App for Manufacturers 

Siemens Digital Industries Software has announced the Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) app on Salesforce’s AppExchange marketplace. The AI-based SaaS app was developed by Siemens in collaboration with Salesforce. It’s designed to connect product engineering and product service operations by combining Siemens’ Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management solution with the Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud and Salesforce Service Cloud offerings, which will help manufacturers adopt service-centric business models, increase service revenue, and improve customer experiences.
