AppDirect to Acquire vCom Solutions
AppDirect, a B2B subscription commerce platform, has announced its plan to acquire vCom Solutions, an IT lifecycle management software and managed services provider. With the acquisition, AppDirect’s advisors and end-users will gain access to vCom’s AW-powered software platform, vManager, its suite of IT spend-managed services, and QuantumShift, its buyer’s club. Additionally, with the integration of QuantumShift, AppDirect can provide companies with a turn-key solution for aggregation, normalization, consolidation, and integration of various network, mobile hardware, and other solutions.
Cleo and Logan Consulting Detail Their New Partnership
Cleo, an ecosystem integration software provider, has partnered with Logan Consulting, a professional services firm that works with companies in the transportation, retail, food and beverage, aerospace, pharma, and industrial/electronics markets. Ken Lyons, Chief Revenue Officer with Cleo, says, “This partnership will allow Logan Consulting’s clients to leverage robust EDI and API capabilities, create seamless ERP and eCommerce integrations, optimize their operations, and drive meaningful business transformation. Together, we aim to deliver scalable, future-ready solutions that help businesses thrive in today’s fast-evolving digital landscape.”
Deltek Announces Several Updates for its UI and Solution Suite
Deltek, a global software provider for project-based businesses, has announced several innovations and updates for its user experience and product portfolio. The user experience updates come from Deltek Harmony, which reimagines the platform’s UI to boost productivity and simplify complex functions into a cohesive experience. Other additions include several new capabilities for Ask Dela, the company’s digital assistant offering. These capabilities can generate content, inform decisions, and prescribe and automate actions for government contractors, architecture, engineering, and professional services firms.
HCLTech Releases a New Extension for GitHub Copilot
HCLTech, a global technology company, has announced details on the HCLTech AI Force extension for GitHub Copilot on the Visual Studio Marketplace. The integration is built to streamline software development workflows, optimize code performance, maximize developer flexibility, and incorporate intelligence throughout every phase of the engineering lifecycle. It can also enhance extensibility and support various use cases, including legacy modernization, DevOps, migration, development, operations, support, continuous feedback, and end-to-end benefits measurement.
Microsoft, Accenture, and Avanade Announce a Joint Venture
Microsoft has announced that Accenture and Avanade, through their joint venture with Microsoft, are launching a copilot business transformation practice focused on addressing the demand for AI transformation services and solutions. As part of this venture, the companies will co-invest in new capabilities, solutions, and training offerings to help organizations reinvent their business functions with generative and agentic AI and Copilot technologies. Those technologies include agent templates, extensions, connectors, and plug-ins that can help teams leverage their data and GenAI to reduce costs and drive growth.
Red Hat Acquires Neural Magic
Red Hat, a global provider of open-source solutions, has signed an agreement to acquire Neural Magic, a provider of software and algorithms capable of accelerating generative AI inference workloads. Neural Magic’s experience in vLLM will allow Red Hat AI to enhance its ability to support LLM deployments across the hybrid cloud with ready-made open inference stacks. Matt Hicks, president and CEO of Red Hat, says, “We’re thrilled to complement our hybrid cloud-focused AI portfolio with Neural Magic’s groundbreaking AI innovation, furthering our drive to not only be the ‘Red Hat’ of open-source, but the ‘Red Hat’ of AI as well.”
Rockwell Automation Expands its Emulate 3D Solution with NVIDIA Omniverse
Rockwell Automation, an industrial automation and digital transformation solution provider, has announced that it will integrate NVIDIA Omniverse application programming interfaces into its Emulate 3D digital twin software. The integration will allow Emulate3D users to combine and visualize multiple dynamic digital twins as a complete factory, all through a web app. Additionally, it will benefit manufacturers by providing them with cloud-based deployment options, vendor-agnostic connectivity to multiple 3D applications, a unified web app for stakeholder visualizations, and hyper-scale capabilities.
ServiceNow Expands its Now Platform with New AI Innovations
ServiceNow, an AI platform for business transformation, has announced new generative AI and governance innovations for its Now Platform. As part of this launch, ServiceNow has introduced new capabilities to the Now Assist solution, including the Now Assist Guardian, Now Assist Data Kit, and Now Assist Analytics. These tools can help companies better control how they use GenAI on the Now Platform, streamline the process of consuming data for AI use cases, and maximize visibility into the adoption, usage, and performance of Now Assist across their enterprise. Additionally, ServiceNow released new features for Configuration Management Database (CMDB), legal service delivery, and contract management.
Software AG Extends its ARIS Platform with New AI-Powered Capabilities
Software AG, a digital transformation solution provider, has launched a new AI-enabled release of its ARIS platform. With ARIS 10 SR27, users have access to the platform’s AI Companion, which is integrated into key functions of the ARIS Process Intelligence suite. The functions and capabilities available through the AI Companion include AI-based process model generation, an AI-based search tool, AI-generated calculated fields and visual insights, and the ARIS Process Explore, which enables users to extract actionable insights from any data within the ARIS suite.
