Announced during the Imagine 2024 event, the AI + Automation Enterprise System is infused with second-generation GenAI Process Models capable of speeding up the discovery, development, and deployment of AI process automations. The company also announced several new AI Agents designed to manage cognitive tasks, automate more processes, deliver faster time to value, and maximize business impact across workflows.<\/p>\n Cognizant has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Belcan, a portfolio company of AE Industrial Partners and a global provider of Engineering Research & Development (ER&D) services. The acquisition will help Cognizant significantly expand ER&D’s capabilities and build on its Internet of Things (IoT) and Digital Engineering practice areas. It will also add additional scale to Cognizant’s service and help it develop a leadership position in the high-growth aerospace and defense (A&D) industry. Lance Kwasniewski, Belcan’s CEO, will continue to lead the company, which will operate under its current name as an operating unit of Cognizant.<\/p>\n Epicor, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software, has acquired KYKLO, a Product Information Management (PIM) and content-driven lead generation solution provider for manufacturers and distributors. With this acquisition, Epicor will accelerate the delivery of its AI-driven cognitive ERP vision and help employees stay at the forefront of their operations with practical, outcome-focused, and responsible AI. It will also enable Epicor customers to collaborate with suppliers and improve how they create, manage, and deploy product information.<\/p>\n fabric, a “next-generation” commerce platform provider, has announced the availability of the fabric Product Catalog. This new offering will provide companies with a commerce-first approach to product data focused on centralizing, organizing, and delivering product information on any channel. Additional benefits of fabric’s Product Catalog include centralized multi-source data integrations, a streamlined user interface, faster deployments, and up-to-date product data.<\/p>\n HCLTech, a global technology company, recently launched the HCLTech Enterprise AI Foundry, which will help companies simplify and scale their enterprise AI journeys. The HCLTech Enterprise AI Foundry is an integrated suite of assets combining data engineering and AI with a cognitive infrastructure tuned for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). It can enable businesses to focus on real-world outcomes, support development teams as they develop AI-powered applications, and remove the complexity of industrial-scale AI models.<\/p>\n Oracle and Google Cloud have announced a partnership allowing customers to combine Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with Google Cloud technologies to accelerate their application migration and modernization efforts. The companies will jointly go to market with Oracle Database@Google Cloud, giving businesses direct access to Oracle database services running on OCI and deployed via Google Cloud datacenters. With Google Cross-Cloud Interconnect, customers can deploy workloads across COI and Google Cloud regions without cross-cloud data transfer charges.<\/p>\n Pegasystems\u2014an enterprise AI decisioning and workflow automation platform\u2014has introduced several enhancements for Pega GenAI Blueprint, its app design-as-a-service tool. These enhancements include an improved user interface, legacy transformation accelerators, updated collaboration tools, live application previews, a data model generation feature, and partner-supplied workflow templates. The new features were announced at PegaWorld iNspire, the annual conference in Las Vegas that ran from June 6th to 11th.<\/p>\n Pegasystems also announced an expansion for its Pega GenAI capabilities, which allows users to connect to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud’s large language models (LLMs). The expansion enables Pega users to connect with various GenAI services and models, including solutions like Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Titan, Vertex AI, Google Gemini, and Claude from Anthropic. These capabilities were displayed at the PegaWorld iNspire event and are expected to launch in the second half of 2024.<\/p>\n QAD, a cloud-based manufacturing and supply chain solution provider, has announced new capabilities for its Import Management offering, part of QAD Global Trade and Transportation Execution (GTTE). These new capabilities include a product classification powered by artificial intelligence (AI), which can help teams expedite the classification process. The news was detailed at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium\/Xpo 2024, which ran from June 10th to 12th in Barcelona, Spain.<\/p>\n Quantexa, a decision intelligence solution provider for the public and private sectors, has debuted Q Assist, a context-aware generative AI technology suite to help companies augment the decision-making processes of front-line and information workers. With the Q Assist Technology Suite, customers can increase performance, ensure teams have the most accurate data, and operationalize generative AI technologies for transformational gains without requiring a significant investment in infrastructure, tooling, and other skilled resources.<\/p>\n Udemy, an online skills marketplace and learning platform, has launched a new generative AI upskilling program developed with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
