With that in mind, here is some of the top WorkTech news for August 16th.<\/p>\n Certinia, a provider of cloud PSA and ERP software built on the Salesforce platform, has announced details on its Summer 2024 Release. The update introduces new and enhanced features to help customers achieve enterprise-level scalability, unlock more benefits with AI, and improve efficiencies across their professional services and customer success organizations. Those enhancements will bring new features to Certinia’s PSA solution, including resource shortlisting, mass actions for project resource requests, and a demand-side resource request feature. It will also introduce a new Account Health Score, an editable Success Tracker, and other AI capabilities to Certinia’s Customer Success (CS) Cloud solution.<\/p>\n Deloitte\u2014a global provider of audit, assurance, consulting, tax, and risk advisory services\u2014has announced a strategic alliance with Workato, an enterprise integration platform, to help companies accelerate their digital transformation journeys. As part of the collaboration, Deloitte will use Workato’s platform to provide clients with custom solutions that address complex business problems, integrate across their enterprise systems, automate repetitive tasks, reduce the need for specialized business knowledge, and support ongoing business growth initiatives.<\/p>\n Clayton, Dubilier, and Rice (CD&R), a leading private investment firm, and CVC, a global private markets manager, have acquired significant ownership in Epicor, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software. After this investment, CD&R and CVC will have an equal number of Board seats, with Jeff Jawn continuing to serve as Chairman and Steve Murphy staying on as CEO. Aaron Dupuis, a Managing Partner at CVC, says, “We are thrilled to partner with Steve Murphy and the Epicor management team, along with CD&R, to support the company and its growth plans.”<\/p>\n Analyst house Gartner, Inc. recently released the 2024 edition of its Gartner Magic Quadrant for Robotic Process Automation, identifying thirteen of the marketplace’s most effective robotic process automation vendors. The researchers behind the report\u2014Arthur Villa, Saikat Ray, Melanie Alexander, Sachin Joshi, and Mike Helsel\u2014evaluated each listed vendor’s strengths and weaknesses, ranked them on the signature “Magic Quadrant” graph, and the editors at Solutions Review highlighted the updates worth knowing about.<\/p>\n Infragistics\u2014a global provider of solutions designed to accelerate design and development processes\u2014has launched Infragistics Ultimate 24.1, the latest release of the company’s UX and UI product. The update introduces several new features, including enhanced code generation capabilities for the App Builder tool, improved charting capabilities, full .NET 8 support, an enhanced DockManager for improved layout management, better data visualizations, and advanced Grids for web frameworks.<\/p>\n Pipefy, a global provider of no-code business process automation (BPA) solutions, has announced new generative AI capabilities to help business users, citizen developers, and IT teams accelerate workflow deployments, analyze data, and automate complex processes. With the Pipefy AI suite, companies can access AI-powered automation tools, customizable AI agents, and an AI co-pilot. These features can streamline service delivery efforts, help users develop new workflows, eliminate manual tasks, and more. The AI Automation tool is available now, with Agents and Copilot in a public beta.<\/p>\n Rootstock Software, a cloud-based manufacturing ERP software provider, has appointed Andy Brabender as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this new position, Brabender will be responsible for spearheading the company’s global sales strategy, encompassing its direct sales and global alliance initiatives. Brabender has over twenty years of experience in the SaaS marketplace and has a proven track record of transforming sales organizations and delivering impactful results at companies like GridPoint, ServiceChannel, and SMS Assist.<\/p>\n Sage\u2014an accounting, financial, payroll, and HR technology provider for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs)\u2014has announced new enhancements and updates for its Sage Intacct offering. The latest updates include the global release of AP Automation, a tool designed to streamline financial workflows, create draft bills from uploaded documents, identify issues, and reduce the effort and cost associated with data entry. Other additions include an improved time entry experience, automated employee expense submissions, an enhanced Interactive Custom Report Writer (ICRW), improved email delivery services, contract scheduling tools, more insights for Revenue Recognition, and more.<\/p>\n SYSPRO, a global ERP software provider, has received an investment from Advent International, a private equity investor. With this investment, Advent will acquire a majority ownership stake in SYSPRO. The investment will help SYSPRO accelerate its global growth initiatives, support its product innovations, and unlock new growth opportunities in key markets, including the USA and UK. As part of the deal, Mike Ettling\u2014a software business leader who has previously served as the President of SAP SuccessFactors and is presently the CEO of Unit4\u2014will join SYSPRO as Chairman\u200b of the Board.<\/p>\n Phil Duff, the co-founder of SYSPRO, also announced that he will be retiring at the end of September 2024. In a statement, he says, “I have been at the helm of SYSPRO for 46 years and have worked with incredible teams of people, customers, and partners across the globe. As the company enters a new era, I\u2019m confident Advent can foster continued growth and innovation.”<\/p>\n Workato, an AI-driven enterprise orchestration platform, has announced Workato Agentic, a low-code\/no-code agentic orchestration platform. The new offering is built with two key components: Workato Genie, a framework for building purpose-specific AI Agents, and Genie Apps, pre-built agentic apps that address different business or industry needs. Workato is also launching ITGenie, a new IT helpdesk application that uses Agentic AI and a Sales Assistant tool to help teams improve sales productivity.
