Bitwarden Releases Findings From Its World Password Day 2025 Survey

Bitwarden, an open-source password management solution provider, recently released the findings from its annual global survey for World Password Day. The company surveyed over 2,300 employed adults in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Japan to highlight generational trends in password habits. Findings include that 35 percent of Gen Z respondents never or rarely update passwords after a data breach at a company with which they have an account. Additionally, when prompted to update a login, 38 percent of Gen Z and 31 percent of Millennials only change a single character or recycle an existing password.
