AuthenticID Partners with the California DMV
AuthenticID, a global identity verification and fraud prevention solutions provider, has partnered with the California DMV. The partnership will focus on enabling customers to verify their identities in the state’s mobile driver’s licenses (mDLs) program with AuthenticID’s identity verification and biometric authentication solutions. California residents can download an mDL from the state’s DMV mobile app and add it to their Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or California DMV Wallet. These mDLs can be used at participating airports and select convenience and retail stores across the US to verify the participant’s age.
CyberArk and Wiz Announce a New Collaboration
CyberArk, an identity security provider, has announced a “high-impact” partnership with Wiz, a cloud security solution. The companies will join forces to help customers strengthen their multi-cloud security posture with in-depth visibility and control over privileged human and machine access. A central part of the collaboration will be the integration of CyberArk’s Identity Security Platform and Wiz’s Cloud Security Platform. The integration will make it easier for cloud security teams to reduce the risk of unauthorized access and satisfy their audit and compliance requirements.
IBM Introduces Debuts New Quantum Hardware and Software Advancements
IBM has announced several quantum hardware and software advancements at its inaugural IBM Quantum Developer Conference. These enhancements are designed to help companies execute complex algorithms on IBM quantum computers with “record levels” of speed, scale, and accuracy. As part of these enhancements, IBM Quantum Heron can now leverage Qiskit, a performant quantum software, to accurately run certain classes of quantum circuits with up to 5,000 two-qubit gate operations. Silverfort Announces its Acquisition of Rezonate
Silverfort, an identity security company, has acquired Rezonate, an identity-first security provider for cloud environments. The acquisition will allow Silverfort to integrate Rezonate’s cloud-focused capabilities into its Unified Identity Security Platform, offering companies a solution capable of protecting identities across all on-premises assets, cloud identity providers, SaaS applications, and cloud infrastructure. Other benefits of the integrated offering include faster deployments, additional context for identity security, and more. The combined solution will be available in mid-2025.
Splunk Updates its Observability Portfolio with New Functionalities
Splunk, a cybersecurity and observability solution provider, has announced a series of innovations for its expanded observability portfolio. The product enhancements will provide engineering and ITOps teams additional options to unify their visibility across IT environments.
